Soter Vineyards @ Mineral Springs Ranch- Carlton, OR (Visual)
Many people ask about my favorite wine tasting, I usually start my response with, "Wow, out of the hundreds of wineries... how could I choose just one?"
Then I go into detail about how I love these people, choosing a favorite is not solely based on wine, but connections. The community built around the soil, the vines, and eventually the liquid of fruition... Willamette Valley Wine. On top of that, there is so much that goes into visiting a winery… The space of the building, the atmosphere, the wines, the conversation. Not to mention, it is hard not to create opinions based on how happy, engaged, and relaxed the staff feels during the tasting. I have highlighted some wineries with very drinkable and crowd pleasing wines, and of course wineries with options for food in case they are looking for a more substantial tasting.
Now that I have your attention, I can clue you in on a winery that lives in the top three spots to visit. Soter Vineyards, thus far, will always have a place on that list.
Soter Vineyards sits right outside of the great little town of Carlton, OR. Their sparkling Brut Rosé is well-renowned in the Willamette Valley with the bubbly nickname: Soter-POP.
Always welcoming you with a sip to start on their front patio, Soter knows what service is & nails it every time. If you want to experience my favorite tasting at Soter Vineyards, opt into the provisions tasting to get a well-rounded feel of the story and fruition of their estate.
Warning: you may come out on the other side of this tasting as a more insightful, curious & overall more intelligent individual.
